Ali Hall has worked as Editor on numerous magazines including More and Celebrity Bodies and Slimming. She was brought in especially to launch LOOK in February 2007, the glossy high street fashion and celebrity weekly magazine specifically intended for young women.

Most inspirational LFW show?

Todd Lynn cuts a mean tuxedo with flashes of vibrant pink.

Favourite after-show party?

PPQ at Vendome went down a real treat and Vivienne Westwood’s party was totally glam with Kate Moss gyrating with a gorgeous bloke!

Best post-show hangout?

The VIP Moët Room and Beach Blanket Babylon where Charles Anastase had his aftershow dinner.

Will you be wearing heels or flats this a/w?

I never wear flats, I feel naked without high heels and they have to be red; I buy about three pairs every season.

Must-have pieces for a/w 08?

Lace will be a huge trend and I love that look – I’m still looking for the perfect black lace dress. Tartan is an interesting one as if you go overboard you could end up looking like a Bay City Roller!

Can't-live-without beauty product?

Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil – I should have shares in it as I’ve recommended it to so many friends! Even my best male friend is using it!

Huge trend for s/s 09?

Iridescence, transparency and barely-there materials – which screams diet! Also extreme prints and Vitamin C Orange, but you need fake tan to get away with this one!

What do Look readers want to see and how will you be serving it up?

Our credit crunch franchise offers bargain buys for different price brackets and we aim to include as many high-street discounts as possible.

Any new columnists or cover girls in the pipeline?

We're happy with Gok as our columnist. My wishful cover would be Amy Winehouse, off the drugs with a new hairstyle and without the tattoos - but I won’t hold my breath!

Longer term plans for the magazine?

Constantly changing it so it’s fresh and including as much affordable, accessible fashion as the high street can produce.
